Kicking off the new season!

It's officially spring and that means gardening. Last year I neglected my blog and this year I intend on keeping it up to date. I hope to post large posts about what is going on in the garden but not that often.

Today the sun was shining and I ended up clearing up the garden, my rhubarb is absolutely thriving!

Seeds Glorious Seeds!

The seeds from Soggy Creek &CO and Suttons arrived! I'm so excited to plant them all... I'll post the day they do and I'll keep you all up to date every step of the way. Also, my sister's boyfriend- Scott- has given me some Rosemary seeds so I look forward to having that in the kitchen!

An Italian Pizzeria!

For dinner last night I made me and my dad some pizzas, they were divine! I saw this as a chance to use some of Basil plants as I have so many. His was a vegetarian and mine was meat, I got my inspiration from one of Jamie Oliver's recipes from his book called 'Jamie at Home'. Here is the recipe, it's very easy though as it is just an assembly job...

Treats!

As usual, I went on a trip to B&Q. Left me with some great supplies.

I also got a grow bag and re-planted my Tomato plant.

Plenty of Potatoes.

They have sprouted! Finally!
I was getting worried as I had been told that they would've sprouted by now, but now that they have I am no longer worrying. There's a book I like to read to help me along with my gardening. It's called 'The Edible Garden' by Alys Fowler. She gives some great tips, and has told me to cover up my potatoes sprouts as it will increase crop as it encourages the plant to produce more tubers.

Glorious Weather!

Not much was happening in the garden, but the sun actually graced us with it's presence! So one warning of nice weather and the Great British public strips off for summer. Tell you what though, the plants were loving the sunny weather, especially the Strawberries, they are growing rapidly.

Also, me and my family invited are friends over and we had a BBQ, it was so lovely sitting out in the sun! It feels like summer is really here...
